(Disclaimer-this site is totally dead, sooo)
All summer (during these record gas prices) I've been hearing members of the administration suggest that all us poor folks take a "staycation"; just spend our summer vacation at home. I've always been a big fan of rich folks telling me how to live, especially when you know damn sure that those folks doing the suggesting are'nt staying at home. They're jetting around to wherever they want.
But that may not run that way forever.
See, there's also been stories about the capture of a Serbian ( I can't remember, but I think he's a Serb) leader that authorized several atrociates during the Bosnian conflict. I think the guy was posing as a faith healer when he was arrested. (Alot of leaders are faith healers actually; just donate your children to the war effort-then they will have the country healthy again. You just have to believe). Anyway, this guy will face trial at the Hague soon.
It's really encouraging to me to see justice actually work occasionally. And that people can be held accountable.
That got me to thinking about our current bunch of jokers. You can ignore predicent, ignore existing laws, ignore the opinions of your own military lawers, and rewrite the military code of conduct.
All to make torture legal.
But if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. Calling it a elephant won't work.
I think that we may very well see the day when certain members of the current administration will no longer vacation in western Europe.
Because they could be arrested, and go on trail at the Hague. Now, won't that be something. Say the chief legal counsel of the whitehouse.
I bet that will be televised too. And that alot of folks worldwide will tune in. I know I would.
So, those boys will have to vacation in country. Or maybe go to the beach in Dubai, where they use our money to build lakes and amusement parks in the desert.
That's a staycation. |

Hey stupid. So what your telling me is that if someone kidnapped your kid and the only way to gain information of their whereabouts would be to twist there balls with vise grips you wouldn't do it. Keep in mind that I'm really not into ball twisting. I think a red hot poker is more effective. I have to agree that Death Penalties should be just that. Why sentence someone to die and wait 15 years before deciding that maybe its too harsh! Think of this, Trial on Monday, Verdict on Tuesday, Last Meal on Wednesday, Family visitation Thursday, Pay Per view hanging on Friday. I would have to request a short rope so there neck doesn't break. Just something about the kicking and flailing that makes the $49.00 seem like a good deal. |

Hey there John Birch. Or is it Archie Bunker? Who you callin stupid? Stupid. So, in ten years if your boy or mine is a p.o.w., and they strap him to a board, turn him upside down, and force water into him until he passes out, that will all be ok????? |

So, what you're saying Mr Pitz (may I call you Earl?) is that it's ok to torture our kids??? As far as selling out: 3,000 sq ft house and 20 acres +/-, I'll take $275,000. My truck; $15,000. My bike; $1500. That's about all I've got that's worth selling. |

| As a veteran i can say this with certainty..... Hooray for so-called war crimes, as information is not obtained without it. Hoory for so-called animalistic behavior, more bloodlust than discipline, and the ability of a teenage BOY to handle these situations with a clear conscience. Not only handle them, but discern which morale and ethical paths these have the potential to take him down, stand back and continue to be a productive member of society. Maybe i'm biased, but unless you've been in certain places doing certain things, legal or not, no talky-talky. |

| Do you guys prefer Saddams' type of government to what Washington and Jefferson came up with? I don't think they would be too happy with our country today. And it won't be a moment of pride for me if ex members of our goverment ever face trails for war crimes. And the sad fact is that such a secenario is not unthinkable. |

In all honesty Paul I suppose your birthday could be considered a "crime against humanity" just saying..................

Well, I guess you guys mean well anyway. I actually prefer my news from western europe, but whatever.. And I occasionally read some foreign policy stuff too. I realize that just can't compare with the gospel you boys get from Fox. |
