Had to order a few other bits and pieces. I found that Blackspire has both a chainring and bash for the Shimano M960 (that's XTR) cranks. So she'll be rockin' the surly with XTR cranks, avid mechanicals, and some not-so-great bontrager wheels. the wheels will probably wind up being her next gift. She's a bit nervous to not have gears any more. She'll be fine.
