she serious about getting a single speed. we're going to take her out to wilderness loop asap and let her see if she can hang with the trail on mary jane. if she can we're going to order her an orange 1x1 and get her all set up.
just think about it. husband and wife single speeders. that's sick. she's got the balls for it. probably more so than me. 
oh i did find a single speed chainring that will fit my old m960 cranks. so if we do go the SS route for her she'll inherit my old xtr cranks. her set up will be a wheelset shy of a killer bike. the wheelset will come next. oh by the by - if this happens it'll be her anniversary gift. how many guys can say their wife wants a fully rigid single speed for her anniversary?
